Working and collaborating with Dahlia of ED Designs has been a gratifying change of pace! Pretty soon I’ll be shipping some of the completed designs from our collaboration out to LA for a photoshoot. One of the best parts about making is bringing an idea to life, and working long distance to translate an idea into reality has been challenging and fun. It’s been interesting to see a sort of ‘short hand’ design language developing between us as we have a back and forth dialogue about what we do and don’t like regarding the current design in progress. March Birthstone – Aquamarine
Even without the lovely, light shade of blue this gemstone embodies, the name aquamarine paints a mental picture of water. The word for the March birthstone aquamarine comes from the Latin aqua, meaning water, and marina, meaning sea. The stone was once thought to protect and grant safe voyage to sailors.
